Engineer > teacher > senior education manager > Management Consultant ...with a total commitment to the validity of applied EI ...and 'AppliedEI'
...and Effective Performance = Potential - Interferences
[from the sensibility and sensitivity of Tim Gallwey].
I have a particularly strong view that ALL relevant information is to be taken into account - with individuals and organisations - BFEORE actions and developments are embarked upon.

Galba Bright was a man who had become a very good friend.
His web-site was stimulating and he offered some quite intense views on Emotional Intelligence - the doing version that we all know as applied EI.
He and I had enjoyed a number of hour+-long skype conversations, during which his giggle was infectious ...and yet he wanted to know as much as he could about my views - and many other people - who have given applied EI some serious consideration ...and application.
He was particularly interested in my attempt to 'balance' my IQ and EQ, as well as my interests in Management & Training consultancy work.
In short, I found him to be one of the most stimulating people I have 'met' in the whole of my life.
Sadly, he died at his desk in March ...only 2 days after we had enjoyed one of our chats during which he had explained to me how much he hoped to achieve this year.
I am deeply proud to say he was my friend.
For those who want to know more about his work - have a look at his web-site -
He may be gone, but he left so much of value behind that can still be enjoyed. I hope you will dig around and have a look for yourself

My dentist is a very good friend and although has lovely eyes, mine were very firmly shut! I listened to a very lovely relaxation tape on my ipod which did help make the time pass quickly :)
