I hope you will join me in wishing Amanda and Tim great success in their presentations at the Conference tomorrow. I heard from Amanda last night and it appears a lot of the conference will be delivered in Spanish.
As it happens, speaking fluent Spanish is yet another of Tim's many talents :)
Just heard a provocative speech from Paulo Lopez of University of Surrey, challenging current state of EI, expressing need for new measures, reflective practice, motivating and exciting experiential learnings ... and it seems all things AppliedEI ...
Tim has given him a copy of the book, and he will catch up with us later during the conference. We hope he will attend our presentations this afternoon. So watch this space ....!!
Otherwise, a very MSCEIT flavoured conference - the favoured approach here in Spain.
Just heard a further provocative presentation by Adrian Furnham of UCL, damning the MSCEIT and abilities tests of EI, and promoting case for Trait EI. This has been a scientific conference, very little practitioner input except for the education field. Our presentations were well received by those who understand that EI is not about cognitive abilities.
